Did you know you may spend more on life insurance through work or online than you have to?  Group life coverage through your employer is great if its free.  Extra coverage through work however, usually isn't your best bet for several reasons, unless you're unhealthy.  Excess life coverage through work is age banded, so typically every 5 years, your premium will go up.  Also, the insurance company must price it so that it accounts for the unhealthy people that may take advantage of the guarantee issue coverage.  So if you're healthy you're probably better off finding coverage on your own.  Plus a policy owned by you is portable and you have it no matter who your employer is.

Hitting the easy button online or by phone may sound great, but life insurance should be purchased as part of an overall financial plan with multiple life circumstances taken into consideration, not like ordering Chinese food.  We can also shop for the best rates for you just like they can, but there are a couple of differences.  We'll be able to pre-underwrite your case in the event you have some health conditions.  This can mean finding an insurance company that is more friendly than others and often times result in lower premiums than with a company who advertises low rates but ends up charging you more because of your health condition.  Also, life changes.  You may wish to eventually convert some of your insurance to a permanent policy for lifelong coverage and additional tax benefits.  If so, its imperative to find the right insurer now not just from a rate perspective, but that offers a great variety of permanent insurance policy types and good conversion terms so that you're able to transition to a more suitable insurance portfolio mix later.  This can really save you money in the long run.

Life insurance is one of the most important components of a solid financial plan.  It's important you give it the attention it deserves with the help of good financial planner.  It's our goal to build an insurance portfolio that not only saves you money now, but in the long run, while providing the flexibility you and your family may need over the course of your lifetime.  If you'd like to discuss your life insurance needs we'd be happy to chat.  Simply schedule a time to talk or meet using our online calendar below.  We look forward to hearing from you.
